Sophomore Taryn Cordani broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:54.31 at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday evening. The previous best time of 9:55.10 was set back on March 8, 1992 by Ann Marie DelSignore – a national champion that year in the 5K. Cordani finished 25th overall in the event and is currently the third fastest time in Division III.

She was also named Empire 8 Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Feb. 1.
