Grace Ayer (Bethlehem, Delmar, N.Y.) of the Ithaca College women’s swimming and diving team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after leading the Bombers to a first place finish in the 2016 Henry Kumpf Invite on Saturday.

Ayer took part in three top-three finishes over the weekend.  The junior took home the top honors in the 200-yard individual medley after touching the wall in 2:13.72 – faster than 19 other entries.  Ayer would continue to showcase her speed in the water, posting second place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke and the 400 medley relay.

Ayer, along with the rest of the women’s swimming and diving team, will return to the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they host Alfred at the A&E Aquatics Pavilion.
