Taryn Cordani (Douglas/Douglas, Mass.) of the Ithaca College women's cross country team has been selected as the College's Female Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that ended November 1, 2015.
Cordani, who was named the Empire 8 Conference's Runner of the Week, also paced the Bombers to their 13th consecutive Empire 8 title with a first place time of 17:51.2 on the 5K course to become Ithaca's first individual champion since 2011. She finished 41 seconds ahead of the next runner.
The Douglas, Mass. native will return to action at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships on Saturday, November 14 in Mt. Morris, N.Y.
