Katie Lass (Cherry Hill West/Cherry Hill, N.J. of the Ithaca College field hockey team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after leading the Bombers to a 2-1 win over Utica College on Saturday during the week that ended October 25, 2015.

Lass, who has started 14 games in goal for Ithaca this season, earned her 11th win of the year after holding the Pioneers to a single tally to go along with four saves as Ithaca clinched the top overall seed and the right to host the upcoming Empire 8 Championship.

The Cherry Hill, N.J. native leads the conference in both shutouts (six) and goals against average (.647) while her 67 saves is second-most among all Empire 8 goalies.

Lass will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when she and her teammates take on Geneseo on the road.
