Thompson averaged 24.0 points during the opening weekend of the basketball season as Ithaca went 1-1 at the Elmira Tip-Off Tournament. Thompson was named all-tournament team as he scored 29 points to opening the season and 19 points in the second game of the weekend. Thompson shot 18-for-33 overall (54.5%) and 7-for-13 (53.8%) from 3-point range.
