 The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association and the Liberty League selected senior Taryn Cordani of the Ithaca College women's cross country as their top performer on Monday afternoon, September 25.

The USTFCCCA named Cordani its National Athlete of the Week at noon, while the Liberty League followed with its Performers of the Week a few hours later.

Cordani won her first race of the season to highlight the No. 7 Ithaca College women's cross country team's performance at the Williams College Purple Valley Invite last Saturday, September 23 at Mount Greylock High School. Cordani clocked a time of 21:35.5 to top the next closest runner by 27 seconds, which consisted of 286 runners. The race also featured nine teams ranked within the USTFCCCA Top 35.

This is Cordani's first career national athlete of the week honor and sixth conference weekly award.
