ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The 15th-ranked Ithaca College men's lacrosse team (15-4) will travel to top-ranked and undefeated Rochester Institute of Technology (18-0) Saturday for an NCAA second-round game. The teams will faceoff at 1 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.

Ticket prices for Saturday's game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and $1 for children.

Ithaca upended 14th-ranked Montclair State (16-2) Wednesday afternoon at Higgins Stadium, 13-4, in the NCAA first round. Ithaca is appearing in its 12th NCAA Tournament and first since 2008. The Tigers, who received a first-round bye, are making their fifth consecutive appearance in the tournament. They have not lost since a 16-14 setback to Stevenson in the 2013 national championship. RIT has won 28 straight home games.

The winner advances to the quarterfinals on Wednesday, May 14 and will face the winner of the Union vs. Amherst contest.

The Bombers and Tigers met earlier this season, with RIT edging Ithaca, 15-11, on March 1. The pair has squared off 51 times dating back to the inaugural game in 1967. The Bombers lead the series, 29-22, though the Tigers have tallied six consecutive victories. For decades the squads battled annually in conference play, most recently when RIT was a member of the Empire 8 conference.

Senior Pat Slawta paces the Bomber offense with a team-high 47 goals. He adds 23 assists for 70 points. Junior James Manilla has dished out a Bomber-best 39 assists and chips in 24 goals for 63 points. Rookie John Januszkiewicz has 53 with 38 scores and 15 feeds. Senior Brandon Henne has won 175-of-298 faceoffs for a win percentage of 58.7. He has 97 ground balls. Defensively, sophomore Eli Gobrecht has caused 35 turnovers and junior Jimmy Ryan 21. Sophomore Scott Sidnam has made 167 stops in goal for a save percentage of 56.8. Sidnam made a career-high 16 saves against the Red Hawks Wednesday.

The Bombers, who are outscoring opponents 251-141, have won eight of their last nine contests.
