Biography

2014: A USILA All-America Honorable Mention selection, Slawta earned All-Empire 8 First-Team accolades as a senior. He concluded his career ranked on two single-season top-10 lists, sitting seventh with 47 goals and eighth with 72 points scored in 2014. Named Empire 8 Player of the Week on March 3, Slawta led the Bombers in points and goals and ranked second on the team with 25 assists. He netted a season-best six goals against top-ranked RIT during the regular season and recorded a season-best four assists in a win over Elmira on March 22. Slawta started each of the Bombers’ 20 games and tallied game-winning goals against St. Lawrence, Alfred and Montclair State. 2013: An All-Empire 8 Second Team selection as a junior, Slawta had a Bomber-best 47 points. He led the team with 23 assists and sat second with 24 goals on the season. Starting each of Ithaca’s 18 games, Slawta scored four hat tricks and dished out a season-best four assists in an Empire 8 victory against Utica. 2012: An All-Empire 8 second-team selection as a sophomore, Slawta led the Bombers with 45 points on 28 goals and 17 assists. Starting each of the Bombers’ 18 games, he scored in all but three highlighted by a season-best four in Ithaca’s 10-5 win at Plattsburgh. Slawta served up a season-high four assists in Ithaca’s 15-6 win at Elmira. He added 21 ground balls and three caused turnovers. | 2012 Game-by-Game Statistics

2011: Slawta saw action in 11 games and started four as a freshman. He tallied 11 points on four goals and seven assists. Slawta picked up nine ground balls. He notched a season-high of two points three times. | 2011 Game-by-Game Statistics

Career Statistics

High School: A 2010 graduate of Walt Whitman High School, Slawta was a three-year letter winner on the lacrosse team for coach Kevin Pope. He was named county player of the year, was an all-county first-team selection and served as a captain during his senior year. He also played football during the 2009 season.

Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Jim and Kate Slawta.
