NYSCTC Multi Day One ResultsITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed Sunday at the Cornell Big Red Invitational and the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Decathlon Championship at RIT. The Bombers had nine top-10 finishes at Cornell.
After day one of the NYSCTC decathlon championship, sophomore
Ndue Palushi ranks 10th out of 15 competitors after five events with 2,707 points. Freshman
Tyler Denn-Thiele is in 14th with 2,065 points.
Ithaca's top finish at Cornell came in the 4x100-meter relay with a second-place showing of 44.52. Sophomore

Nick DiNapoli teamed together on the relay. Ithaca's 4x400 team of junior

Chris Gutierrez raced to a sixth-place finish of 3:36.43.
Junior
Mason Mann clocked a fourth-place finish of 1:55.77 in the 800 run. Rounding out the top-10 track performances were freshman
Roosevelt Lee with a 10th-place finish of 52.79 in the 400 and junior
Steve Derderian with a time of 16:27.08 to place 10th in the 5,000.
Sophomore
De'Marquis Graves placed eighth in the triple with a mark of 13.42 meters and 10th in the long with a leap of 6.47 meters.
Freshman
Gabe Shakour had a heave of 45.32 meters in the javelin to place eighth and senior
Steven Episcopo cleared 4.05 meters in the pole vault to finish ninth.
Ithaca will conclude NYSCTC decathlon competition Monday afternoon.
