High School: A 2012 graduate of Iroquois High School, Hejna was a four-year letter winner on the indoor and outdoor track & field teams. Named a scholar athlete during both seasons, he earned the 2012 Section 6 Sportsmanship Award. He also competed in cross country and volleyball.
Personal: A physics major, he is the son of Lori and Glenn Hejna.
