ITHACA, N.Y. -- The nationally-ranked Ithaca College wrestling team returns to action this weekend at the Budd Whitehill National Duals and has maintained its presence in the latest National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III rankings.

The Bombers are seeded third at the prestigious dual-meet championship this week at Lycoming College. The tournament field of 20 teams includes eight teams ranked in the NWCA Division III team rankings. Seventh-ranked Olivet is the top seed at the Whitehill Duals and eighth-ranked Cortland is the second seed. Ithaca is seeded third with a perfect 4-0 dual-match record and stands 10th in the latest NWCA rankings. Ithaca was ranked sixth in the previous coaches poll.

Four Ithaca wrestlers are ranked in the latest NWCA individual rankings. Alex Gomez ranks second at 133 pounds, maintaining his position from the release of the Dec. 17 rankings with an 8-2 individual record. Dominick Giacolone moved up two places to fourth at 141 pounds with an 11-2 record. Kristopher Schmek stands eighth at 165 pounds with a 12-2 record and Carlos Toribio is 10th at 174 pounds with an 11-2 record.
