2012-13: Gomez made his first-career trip to the NCAA Championships and earned all-America honors by virtue of a sixth-place finish at 133 pounds. He had a 21-7 overall record on the year with an 8-1 record in dual matches. Gomez earned his NCAA berth by placing first at the NCAA Northeast Regional. He also won the title at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational. He placed sixth at the New York State Collegiate Championships.

2012-13 Statistics
2011-12: Gomez was one of top additions to Ithaca’s roster; his four pins led Ithaca’s newcomers and his 16 victories ranked second. Gomez was picked to D3wrestle.com’s All-Freshman Team after taking second place at 141 pounds at the ECWC Championships, where he was the only freshman to reach the finals. He was named ECWC Rookie of the Week after that performance and was selected the conference’s third alternate to the NCAA Championships. Gomez opened the season at 133 pounds and took second at the Ithaca Invitational. He finished third at York’s New Standard Corporation Invitational.

2011-12 Statistics
High School: A 2011 graduate of Brentwood High School, Gomez was coached by Ralph Napolitano. A four-time league champion, he placed at the Section I tournament six times. Gomez qualified for the New York state championships three times, taking fifth as a junior and second as a senior. He placed third at the NHSCA senior nationals and took fifth at the Super 32 nationals.
Personal: Gomez is majoring in occupational therapy.
