ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's cross country team raced against Division I, II and III competition Saturday to place 10th out of 18 teams at Roberts Wesleyan's Harry F. Anderson Invitational. Six of Ithaca's top-seven finishers ran to season-best performances.
Sophomore
Rachelle Sartori led the Bombers on the five-kilometer course finishing 24th out of 199 runners with a finish of 19:17.10.
Junior
Anastasia Diamond and graduate student
Megan Schenk ran back-to-back, placing 57th and 58th with times of 20:18.00 and 20:18.50.
Sophomores
Emily Krakowski and
Colleen Vaughn finished fourth and fifth for the Bombers. Krakowski clocked a 20:43.20 finish and Vaughn finished in 21:07.10 placing 78th and 97th.
Closing out Ithaca's top seven were freshman
Gaia Bouchard-Hall and junior
Mary Claire Hartford with places of 99 and 101. Bouchard-Hall crossed the finish line in 21:08.00 and Hartford did so in 21:10.20.
The Bombers will next race Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Geneseo Invitational.
