ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team (1-4, 1-0) defeated to St. John Fisher (2-4-1, 0-1) Saturday afternoon, dropping the Cardinals by a score of 4-0 at Carp Wood Field.

Sean Forward scored twice in the victory, with additional goals coming from junior

Jordan Gentile turned away all three Fisher shots in his first start of the season, earning his fourth career shutout. Ithaca finished with a 19-12 shot advantage.
Forward scored the first goal of the game in the 19th minute on a feed from junior
Casey Williamson, giving Ithaca the early 1-0 advantage. Roughly eight minutes later, Halpern scored his first career goal to increase the Bomber lead to 2-0.
Wolfanger capped the first-half scoring with a goal in the 37th minute, netting his first goal of the season on a shot in the high slot.
Ithaca scored the only goal in the second half, as Forward recorded his second of the day in the 75th minute to increase the score to 4-0 in favor of the Bombers. Gentile made two saves in the second half to preserve the lead, giving Ithaca the 4-0 victory to open conference play.
The Bombers next game is an away contest on Sept. 25 at Scranton. The match is set to begin at 4 p.m.
