2014: Gentile started all 17 of Ithaca’s games in 2014. He totaled 1573:30 minutes on the season with 73 saves, a .737 save percentage and a 1.49 goals-against average. Gentile ended the season with All-Empire 8 Second Team honors, and was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week and ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 14.
2013: Gentile appeared in 12 games and made 11 starts in net for Ithaca. He totaled 945:00 minutes on the season with 37 saves, a .725 save percentage and a 1.33 goals-against average. Gentile ended the season with four wins and was an All-Empire 8 Honorable Mention.
2012: Gentile saw action in nine games and made seven starts in goal for the Bombers. He finished with a record of 2-2-3 in 678:29 minute of play. Gentile made 22 saves on 31 shots, earning a 1.19 goals-against average and a 0.71 save percentage. He registered a shutout in Ithaca’s 0-0 draw with Rensselaer on Sept. 5, 2012.
2011: Gentile started 11 games in goal as a freshman, recording 47 saves with a goals against average of 1.51. He recorded two shutouts and had a .734 saves percentage. | 2011 Game-by-game statistics
High School: A 2011 graduate of Manlius Pebble Hill High School, Gentile earned four varsity letters for coach Don Ridall. He was named first team all-league, served as a team captain and was part of a sectional champion squad in 2010. Gentile also lettered five times in golf and earned one in basketball.
Personal: A business major, he is the son of Fritz and Laurie Gentile.
