In conjunction with the 57th annual Cortaca Jug football game, Ithaca College has partnered with the Ithaca Rescue Mission Alliance to make a difference in the greater Ithaca community through the Shed the Red campaign. Started in September, at every home game between Ithaca and Cortland, IC students were encouraged to bring in an article of red clothing to be donated to the Ithaca Rescue Mission Alliance, in return for a blue Bombers t-shirt. For the annual Cortaca game, the #ShedtheRed campaign is hoping to garner even more donations for the area homeless through a t-shirt exchange. During Ithaca's Spirit Week, any student who donates a red item of clothing will receive one of 1,000 official Cortaca t-shirts as a thank you for supporting the #ShedtheRed campaign. Making a donation to the #ShedtheRed campaign is the only way for IC students to receive one of these customized Cortaca t-shirts.
