DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) released its annual regional all-star teams on Wednesday afternoon. Ithaca College outside hitter
Joelle Goldstein added yet another accolade to her outstanding junior year, earning selection to the First Team on the 2016 ECAC Division III North Women's Volleyball All-Star Team.
Â
Goldstein enjoyed a fantastic year in helping Ithaca capture its second consecutive Empire 8 Title and second straight run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She paced the Bombers with 341 kills and 48 service aces, while she finished second on the team with 326 digs. The Kings Park, N.Y., product also added 38.0 total blocks on seven solos and 31 block assists.
Â
It was a season marked by impressive achievements, as Goldstein surpassed the 1,000-career-kills milestone. Her best performance on the year came against NESCAC Champion Middlebury in the Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament. Goldstein registered 20 kills, which included the game-winner in Ithaca's thrilling come-from-behind five-set victory over the Panthers.
Â
