ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College has announced the hiring of
Krista Archambeau as an assistant coach for field hockey. Archambeau comes to Ithaca after a three-year stint as an assistant coach for St. John Fisher, a position held since the program's inception in 2011.
"We are very excited for Krista to join our program," said head field hockey coach
Tracey Houk. "We believe she will make an immediate impact and benefit the program for years to come."
While at St. John Fisher, Archambeau assisted with practice plans, game strategies and recruiting. She was also responsible for fundraising, game tape exchange and academic affairs.
Archambeau played four years of varsity field hockey at Seton Hill University. She was a four time captain for the Griffins and finished her career ranked 11th all-time in program assists. Archambeau's time at Seton Hill was highlighted by her junior season, when she finished the year ranked seventh in the nation in goals scored and sixth in points-per-game.
An East Rochester, N.Y. native, Archambeau graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in sociology and family studies.
