Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. – the Ithaca College softball team (4-0) earned back-to-back wins on the second day of the Dot Richardson Spring Games, defeating Transylvania by a score of 7-2 before taking down Rhode Island, 8-0.
Senior
Sam Bender picked up the complete game victory in the first contest of the day against Transylvania, allowing just four hits and two earned runs. Junior
Francesca Busa collected two hits in four at-bats, also picking up two RBI. Freshman
Jessie Fleck also earned two hits, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Tara Condon and
Erin McQuillan each scored two runs in the victory. Sophomore
Laura Quicker picked up the win in game two, helping Ithaca to the 8-0 shutout over Rhode Island.
The Bombers are right back on the field at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 in a battle with The College of New Jersey. Immediately following that game, Ithaca will square off with Penn State-Behrend.
