CANTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team competed Friday on day one of the 2014 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Indoor Championships at St. Lawrence. The Bombers tallied 36.5 points to rank second out of 12 teams after six events.
Ithaca, who had five individuals and two relay teams earn All-NYSCTC praise, has student-athletes advancing to Saturday's finals in the 60-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.
Ithaca met five ECAC qualifiers Friday.

Sean Phillips clocked an ECAC-qualifying time of 10:22.82 to win the event.

Stephen Gomez and sophomore
Sawyer Hitchcock crossed the finish line of the 5,000-meter run in ECAC-qualifying fashion. Gomez placed third in 15:17.49 and Hitchcock sixth in 15:19.74.

Jeff Hejna finished as runner-up in the event with an ECAC-qualifying time of 1:31.85.

De'Marquis Graves placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 6.44 meters and senior
Brennan Edmonds sixth with a leap of 6.35 meters.
Senior
Jarrod Monacelli finished sixth in the pole vault with a clear of 4.10 meters.
Barrett equaled the ECAC qualifier in the 60 dash prelims with a 7.02 finish.
The Bombers will conclude NYSCTC competition on Saturday, March 1.
