ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sophomore Sawyer Hitchcock raced his way to Empire 8 Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors announced Monday.

In his first race of 2013, Hitchcock led the Bombers with a fifth-place finish out of 163 competitors Saturday at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational. He completed the eight-kilometer course in 26:20.20 to help Ithaca place second out of 14 teams.

The Bombers return to the course on Friday, Sept. 20th at the RPI Invitational.
