ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College senior Rachel Mevissen earned First Team All-American honors from the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association for 2013. Mevissen rowed in the stroke seat for Ithaca's varsity 8, which earned an at-large invitation to the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships.

Selection criteria is based on strength of schedule, regular-season record, end-of-season regatta results, nomination rank, coach's comments and a 2,000-meter erg score. This award recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains at NCAA Division III institutions. The student-athlete must have rowed at least 75 percent of the season's races in the varsity boat.

Ithaca College women's rowers have earned a total of 28 CRCA All-America honors since 2000, including 18 first-team selections.
