CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Ithaca College gymnastics team placed fifth at the ECAC Division III Gymnastics Championships in team scoring with a total of 183.950, and advanced 10 gymnasts as event specialists at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Championships March 22-23 in Whitewater, Wis.
Christine Niles and
Valerie Cohen earned All-ECAC honors by finishing in the top six within event standings. Niles was tied for third on uneven bars with a score of 9.600 and Cohen was sixth on vault with a score of 9.575.
Cohen tied for seventh on floor exercise with teammate
Tiffany Grube with scores of 9.650.
Kate Woodward led Ithaca on the balance beam with a 12th-place finish of 9.350.

Brockport won the team standings with a score of 190.775, Cortland was second with 188.125 and Ursinus was third with 185.725,
