Biography

2012 Statistics

2011: Gallo was an All-American in the uneven bars in 2011, placing eighth at the NCGA Championships. She was also All-ECAC with a fourth-place finish at that meet and was named the ECAC Freshman of the Year and earned Freshman of the Week honors one time. Gallo competed in the uneven bars and vault at nine meets, taking first place in the bars at Springfield with a score of 9.125. Her season-averages were 9.035 on the bars and 9.227 in the vault. | 2011 Statistics

High School: A 2010 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Gallo was a four-year varsity letter-winner in high school for coaches Kevin Gendreau and Dunkan Gould. She also competed at the club level for Interstate Gymnastics and coach Kevin Gendreau. For Central Catholic, Gallo was a four-time team MVP, a four-time all-conference selection and team captain as a senior. She earned all-scholastic athlete honors from the Boston Globe and Boston Herald. At the club level, Gallo earned regional championships on vault and uneven bars in 2009 and 2010. She was a two-time Eastern Nationals qualifier, where she placed third on bars in 2010.

Personal: A psychology major, Shilanna is the daughter of Dr. Rodney and Bonnie Gallo.
