SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's and women's cross country teams will compete on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Empire 8 Cross Country Championships at Saratoga Spa State Park. The women's 5,000-meter race goes off at 10:45 a.m. and the men's 8,000 run follows at 11:30 a.m.

The women's cross country team ran to a first-place finish at the 2012 championships. Ithaca tallied just 27 points to remain the only school to win the title since the conference began sponsoring the sport in 2003. Additionally, a Bomber student-athlete has won the individual championship nine of the 10 years.
The Bomber men's team ran to a first-place finish in 2012 recording 32 points to win the title for the third straight year and the fifth time overall. They ran to victory in 2003, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012. An Ithaca student-athlete has claimed the individual title on five occasions with 2013 graduate
