2012: Empire 8 Runner of the Year, Bickell competed in eight races during his senior season. He tallied a season-best time of 25:52.80 in the 8,000-meter run at the NCAA Championships. Bickell earned all-region accolades with a 15th-place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship. He was named Empire 8 Runner of the Meet after a first-place finish at the conference championship. A three-time E8 Runner of the Week, Bickell earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors and was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.

2011: Bickell competed in seven races as a junior, earning First-Team All-Empire 8 accolades with a second-place finish at the championships. A two-time Empire 8 Runner of the Week, he recorded season-best times of 26:01.00 in the 8,000-meter run and 27:32.00 in the 5.2-mile run to lead the Bombers.

2010: Competing five times as a sophomore, Bickell ran a season-best 8,000-meter race in 26:22.00 at the Empire 8 Championships. He finished fifth in the race to earn first-team all-conference accolades.

2009: Bickell competed seven times as a freshman, with a season best at Houghton at 26:44 finishing 10th overall as Ithaca’s second finisher.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Annapolis High School, Bickell was coached by Scott Eden. He earned four letters in cross country, and was a two-time team captain as well as a state championship qualifier. He also lettered in track & field.

Personal: A documentary studies and production major, he is the son of John Bickell and Annabel Lobe. He is also a distance runner on Ithaca's track & field team.
