WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Ithaca College women's golf team posted an opening-round score of 320 and a second-round score of 323 to finish with a total of 643 at the Williams Fall Classic, placing third in a field of 15 teams. The Bombers finished 14 strokes behind host school Williams and four shots behind Middlebury.
Ithaca entered the second round in fourth place, but moved up one spot on a day that was played in difficult conditions at Taconic Golf Club.
Sharon Li led Ithaca with a 76 in the second round for a total of 156, and placed tied for sixth in the individual standings.
Kimberley Wong was tied for 10th after a second-round score of 81 gave her a two-day total of 158.
Amanda Failla scored 81 and
Kelsey Baker posted 85 on the second day to account for Ithaca's 323.
Lisa Calcasola scored 89.
In the opening round, freshman
Kimberley Wong led Ithaca with a score of 77 on consistent nines of 38 and 39. That tied Wong's collegiate best score this season.
Sharon Li posted 80 to rank second in the Bomber lineup. Ithaca's other scores that counted toward the team total were turned in by
Lisa Calcasola with 41-40--81 and
Amanda Failla with 41-41--82.
Kelsey Baker posted 42-42--84.
