2012-13: Failla earned an Empire 8 All-Empire 8 selection during her junior season. She finished second in the Empire 8 Championship at the Mark Twain Country Club. At the Pat Clouse Invitational at Wittenburg, she posted a best round of 79 and she finished 17th out of a field of 91 players. 2010-11: Failla was among Ithaca's top players during the fall season as a freshman. She earned ECAC Freshman of the Year honors by placing fourth at the Empire 8 Championship. She posted best score of 81 on three different occasions, including back-to-back rounds of 81 at the ECAC Metro Division II/III Championships at Blue Heron Hills Country Club, where she finished second in a field of 28 players. That was her best 36-hole total of the season (162). Failla was also sixth at the Nazareth Invitational.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Farmington High School, Failla was a four-year member of the varsity golf team for coach Chris Garrahan and was a team captain as Farmington won the state championship in her senior year. She was twice named team MVP, and earned all-state and all-New England honors in 2009 and 2010. Failla was a four-time all-conference performer and four-time all-academic team member.

Personal: A health and physical education major, Amanda is the daughter of John and Kathy Failla.
