Ithaca vs Binghamton, 2000

The Ithaca College softball team split its double header against Binghamton University, losing the first game 5-2 in eight innings and tying the second game 2-2. 
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 5, Binghamton 2
 
The game was tied heading into the eighth inning when Binghamton scored three runs in the top of the inning. 
 
Binghamton scored two runs in the top of the first inning. Ithaca cut the lead to 2-1 with one run in the bottom of the second inning, and the Bombers scored one additional run in the bottom of the fifth inning. 
 
Senior Janine Lawler went 2-for-5 with one RBI in the contest and senior Kristin Muenzen went 1-for-4 with one RBI. 
 
Senior Robin Bimson pitched the full game, only allowing seven hits and striking out two. 
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 2, Binghamton 2
 
Ithaca jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but Binghamton scored two runs in the top of the third to take a 2-1 lead. Ithaca added one more run in the bottom of the second to tie it, and the game remained 2-2 for the rest of the contest until it was called due to darkness.
 
Lawler and junior Laura Remia each went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Remia hit her eighth home run of the season, which is her 33rd home run of her career. Freshman Abby Hanrahan pitched a three-hitter and struck out four batters.
