Ithaca College Athletics

After a successful career as a Bomber football and baseball player Bob Ryan '60 spent more than 30 years as a high school coach and administrator. He has served as president of the New York State Athletic Association and the New York State Athletic Administrators Association. His coaching career includes stints as head football coach at Onteora, Hudson Falls and Queensbury High Schools. Ryan was a quarterback, safety and punter for the Bomber football team, leading the team in total offense and earning ECAC All-Star honors in 1959. He was an outfielder and catcher for baseball teams that posted a combined record of 39-5 (including the 1959 team that reached the NCAA playoffs).
