Football, Coaching Achievement

At the time of his induction, Lyon was the most successful football coach in Ithaca College history. He posted a 49-20 record in nine seasons from 1958-66. Lyon's 1965 squad posted the program's first undefeated season at 8-0 and nearly earned a Bowl bid. Lyon left Ithaca and went on to become the defensive coordinator at Army in 1967.
