Kasner was a member of the Women’s Athletic Association, and played intramural basketball, field hockey and softball since there were no organized varsity sports for women at the time. Presently athletic director at Little Falls HS, Kasner was the first woman vice president and later the first woman president of the NYS Public High School Athletic Association. She was the first woman president of a public high school athletic association in the United States. Kasner has served as executive director of the Association of Women’s Physical Education in NYS, and has been a Section 3 president. She has coached basketball, softball, gymnastics, volleyball and badminton for 29 years. In 1974, Kasner received the NYS Coaches Association Award for her work.
