Karen Fischer ’93 received the Iris Carnell Award, given to Ithaca’s top female athlete, as a senior. A two-time all-conference basketball player, she was the second Bomber to score 1,000 career points and finished her career in the program’s top 10 in six categories. In two years with the soccer team, she compiled 11 shutouts and a goals-against average of 0.43 while helping Ithaca to a pair of NCAA playoff appearances. Fischer also lettered in softball as an outfielder for Ithaca’s 1992 NCAA playoff team.
