Ithaca College Athletics

After graduating from Ithaca College in 1966, Jerry Walczak used his education, experience and involvement in sports to influence thousands of lives as an educator, mentor and coach. He is among the most decorated high school coaches in the state of New York. Walczak built a football dynasty at Dolgeville High School and posted a career head-coaching record of 264-37-11 between 1969 and 2002. He coached three players who went on to quarterback his alma mater at Ithaca College. Walczak is a charter member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame, and also holds prestigious places in the Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame and Dolgeville Football Hall of Fame.
