James Ravener was a standout middle distance runner and a two-time indoor track & field All-American. Ravener also competed four years on the cross country team while a student-athlete from 2000-04.
In 2002, Ravener placed fourth at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.37. He was then a member of the eighth place distance medley relay team at the 2003 national championship, which posted a time of 10:21.34.
Ravener set eight different school records during his career on the track and remains the school record holder in the indoor and outdoor 800, the indoor 500 and DMR. To date, he still owns eight of the top 16 fastest times in the 800 across both seasons.
As a senior, he was a five-time Empire 8 champion, a two-time NYSCTC champion and won the ECAC title in the 800.
