* 3 - 6Â credits (180 - 360 hours)
* All athletic department internship will entail evening and/or weekend hours

The Ithaca College Department of Athletics is seeking Marketing and Promotions Intern(s) for the spring and/or fall semester.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate(s) will work closely with the Associate Director of Athletics to develop a comprehensive marketing plan to promote Ithaca College athletic events to Ithaca College students and engage with on-campus and community partners (i.e. clubs, youth groups, Special Olympics, etc.). The Marketing & Promotions Intern(s) will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the following areas and will be tasked with executing a multifaceted marketing plan including but not limited to the following:
Assist with planning, development, communication and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan to promote Ithaca College athletic events.
Assist with creation of the following content:
Timely social media & athletics website content
On-campus displays (closed circuit TVs, posters, etc.)
E-mail/infographic campaigns
Identify groups or performers to enhance fan experience/game-day atmosphere
National anthem singers, marching bands, halftime performers, IC clubs, etc.
Manage a budget for promotional items to attract community attendance and improve overall experience
Must follow all departmental procedures around purchasing
Assist with game management operations including collection, review and in-game music
Assist with videoboard graphic creation and in-game displays
Fulfillment of corporate sponsorships through on-site displays, game programs and in-game promotions
Recruit, train and manage student workers/volunteers for events
Requirements:
Good academic standing with Ithaca College
A minimum of thirty (30) hours of college coursework
An understanding of athletics marketing and promotions principles
An ability to plan proactively
Strong organization skills and the ability to work independently
Willing and able to work promotional events during evening and weekend hours
Comfort with managing peers
Capability of contacting and coordinating external groups
Ability to communicate effectively with athletics department administrators, operations and athletic communications staff to implement promotional events
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate(s) will work closely with members of the athletics department to assist in the planning, preparation and execution of sporting events and special events related to the department of athletics as well as external constituents. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Assist in planning athletics and external events
Communicate and collaborate with campus partners (facilities, grounds, etc.)
Ensure setup, execution and breakdown of game-day operations
Recruit, train and manage student workers/volunteers for events
Attend weekly operational meetings for event debrief
Requirements:

A minimum of thirty (30) hours of college coursework

The Ithaca College Department of Athletics is seeking a Finance and Administration intern for the spring semester. This position will report to the Associate Director of Athletics for Finance and Administration and assist in budget preparation specifically with the coordination of scheduling and team travel. Projects will involve preparing team travel and budget worksheets, reviewing composite schedules, preparing hotel and bus bid documents, and supporting the game contract process.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning, development and execution of a comprehensive budget plan specific to team travel and scheduling
Assist with creating and updating budget worksheets, hotel and bus bids and game contracts
Research and identify hotels that meet department expectations when traveling to new locations
Benchmark travel practices with other NCAA DIII peers
Support travel coordinators support for current year's travel
Assist with day-to-day activities involved with processing business documents such as:
Expense Reports
Clerical support
Data entry
Accounting & Research
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Associate Director of Athletics for Finance and Administration and the Assistant to the Director.

Aquatics Facility Management Internship
The Ithaca College Department of Athletics is seeking an Aquatic Facility Management Intern for the spring and/or fall semester.

Job Description:
Team seeks a highly motivated individual capable of assisting in aquatic operations of the departments overall facility management. Applicant will work very closely with various athletic department staff and coaches in their daily activities. This position entails a great deal of organization and attentiveness to detail considering the vast scope of the department. The internship provides first-hand experience in a state of the art aquatics venue and include the the day-to-day workings of running an intercollegiate athletic facility.
- This position allows the intern to be a first point of contact for any questions, concerns, problems that may occur within the venue or with staff.
