Ithaca College is proud to host the 2016 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association East Regional Qualifier on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Below is information about the championship, as well as information for those traveling to campus for the event.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 6, 2016, starting at 1 p.m. in the Gymnastics Center at the Ben Light Gymnasium. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for students/youth and seniors (65+). Admission is FREE for Ithaca College students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID.

Sunday, March 6, 2016: Competition
9:00 am: Athletic Training Room Opens
10:30 am: Open Stretch
11-12:40 pm: Warm Up Rotations
1:00 pm: March In, competition begins
4:30pm: Awards Ceremony
Warm Ups: 15 minute warm up on each event in order of competition
Transition Time: 2 minutes between each event
Competition: 4 minute touch prior to completion on each event
Event Awards:
- Vaulting, bars, beam, floor, and all-around; top six are recognized on each event
- Athletes of the Week
- Recognition of all seniors
- Rookie of the Year award
- Gymnast of the Year award
- Team results: Top 3 advance to NCGA Nationals
- NCGA Individual Championship Qualifiers
NCGA East Rookie of the Year
The rookie of the year will be selected by a vote of the head coaches conducted at the coaches meeting preceding the NCGA East Regional Qualifier. Nominations with a brief explanation of accomplishments must be submitted via email to the Executive Director by 5:00pm on the Wednesday preceding the qualifier. The recipients will receive a plaque from the NCGA.
Gymnast of the Year
The gymnast of the year will be selected by a vote of the head coaches conducted at the coaches meeting preceding the NCGA East Regional Qualifier. Nominations with a brief explanation of accomplishments must be submitted via email to the Executive Director by 5:00pm on the Wednesday preceding the qualifier. The recipients will receive a plaque from the NCGA.
Coach of the Year
A coach of the year will be selected by a vote of the head coaches conducted electronically prior to the coaches’ call after the NCGA East Regional Qualifier. Nominations with a brief explanation of accomplishments must be submitted via email to the Executive Director by 5pm on the Monday following the East Regional Qualifier. The Coach of the Year will be announced on the coaches’ call the Wed. after the East Regional Qualifier and a press release will be sent to the recipient’s school. The recipient will receive a plaque from the NCGA.
