2013 USTA / ITA Men's Northeast Regional Championships
Tournament Format: In Friday's first two rounds of singles play, the match format will be best two-out-of-three sets, with a 10-point super tiebreaker used as the third set if necessary. Doubles matches for the opening two rounds will be eight-game pro sets. Saturday's singles play will be best two-out-of-three sets with a full third set. The doubles quarterfinals and semifinals will be eight-game pro sets. On Sunday, the singles semifinals and championship as well as the doubles championship will be best two-out-of-three sets with a full third set.
There will not be a consolation draw, but players will have an opportunity to sign up for consolation matches, which will begin on Saturday. All consolation matches will be eight-game pro sets.
Schedule Information: Tournament play begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday, with two rounds of singles scheduled for completion, followed by the first two rounds of doubles play. Saturday's action resumes at 8:30 a.m. with the singles round of 16 and the quarterfinals, and the doubles quarterfinals and semifinals. On Sunday, singles semifinals will begin at 9 a.m. and singles and doubles finals will begin at 11 a.m. That schedule is adjustable if players advance to the final rounds in both singles and doubles play.
