2012-13: Oztemel played in 22 games and made 17 starts for the Bombers in 2012-13. He was the recipient of the Robert C. Deming Leadership Award, and was named Ithaca’s All-Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year. Oztemel played 532 minutes for Ithaca, averaging 24.2 per game. Oztemel averaged 11.4 points per game, ranking third on the team. Oztemel made 75 field goals, including a team-high of 47 from beyond the arc. He ranked second on the team at the charity stripe, making 53-of-61 free throws for a .869 conversion percentage. Oztemel finished the year with 13 assists, six blocks and 15 steals. He scored a season-best 23 points against Cortland on Nov. 27, 2012, adding six rebounds, an assist and a steal. |

2011-12: Oztemel became the 22nd Bomber in program history to hit 1,000 points, surpassing the threshold with a 21-point performance in the season finale at Staten Island. He played in 27 of the Bombers’ 28 games as a junior captain, starting 22. Ranking second on the team with 13.5 points per game, he had one double-double with a 14-point, 13-rebound performance at Oswego. Oztemel was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Oswego Max Ziel Classic and the Juniata Doc Greene Tournament. He scored 364 points on the season with a team-leading 78 three-pointers, tying for fourth-most season threes in program history. His 228 career treys rank third all-time at Ithaca. He recorded 17 double-digit scoring performances during the season, highlighted by a 36-point game against St. Lawrence. 2010-11: Oztemel, who played in all 27 games and started 18, tallied a team-leading .831 free throw percentage (49-for-59) during his sophomore season. He ranked fourth on the team with 12.9 points per game and drained 88 three pointers to sit second all-time at Ithaca for most season three-pointers made. Oztemel scored 347 points, collected 142 rebounds and had 20 assists, 12 steals and seven blocks during 2010-11. He was named Empire 8, D3Hoops.com and ECAC Upstate N.Y. 2009-10: Oztemel played in all 28 games as a freshman and started two en route to being named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week three times. Named the MVP of the ECAC Upstate NY Championship Tournament, Oztemel recorded 290 points on the season, averaging 10.4 per game. He also pulled down 124 rebounds, an average of 4.4 per contest. Oztemel shot .470 from the floor (94-for-200) and notched team-leading three-point and free-throw percentages. Oztemel hit 64-of-150 from beyond the arc (.413 percent) and scored 40-of-47 from the charity stripe (.851 percent). He also added 13 steals, 12 assists and six blocks to his freshman season statistics. Scoring in double figures 14 times, Oztemel recorded a career-high 30 points against St. Lawrence on Dec. 11 and his lone double-double on Jan. 16 against Stevens with 14 points and 10 boards. Career Statistics
High School: A 2009 graduate of Staples High School, Oztemel was coached by Colin Devine and earned three varsity letters. As a senior, he was a Connecticut Post Super 15 selection, as well as all-area Most Valuable Player. He also served as team captain. Oztemel was a two-time all-FCIAC selection. Oztemel was also a three-year letterwinner on the volleyball team.
Personal: A business finance major, he is the son of Glenn and Laurel Oztemel.
