Biography


2011: VanDerVeeken earned a spot in Ithaca’s varsity 8. She rowed in the sixth seat, helping the Bombers to fourth-place finishes in the grand finals at both the ECAC Championships and national meet. She was named a National Scholar Athlete by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

2010: VanDerVeeken rowed in the third seat of Ithaca's second varsity 8, helping the boat to a gold medal at the state championships, third place at the ECAC Championships and fourth place finish at the NCAA Championships grand final.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Beaver River High School, VanDerVeeken was a member of the tennis, basketball and track & field teams.

Personal: A clinical exercise science major, she is the daughter of Hans and Corien VanDerVeeken.
