2011: Costello played in eight games as a back-up in Ithaca’s secondary and a regular with the special teams units. He matched a career best with two tackles in the victory at Union. 2009: Costello played on the Bombers’ junior varsity team as a freshman. He was named Ithaca’s Special Teams Scout Team Player of the Week following the season-opening win at St. Lawrence.
High School: A 2009 graduate of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, Costello was coached by Don Herman. A team captain and league all-star, he helped his team to the Division 3A “super bowl”.
Personal: A health and physical education major, he is the son of Don and Sue Costello. His mother is a 1980 Ithaca graduate.
