Ithaca College Athletics

2020: Played and started in all eight games for the Bombers... Recorded seven hits including three doubles and a triple... Scored five runs and drove in three... Finished with a .280 batting average. *(Spring season was canceled after eight games.)

2019: Finished the season with a .308 batting average... Appeared in 37 games with 36 starts, primarily as the designated player... Recorded 32 hits on the season with four doubles, two home runs and 26 RBI... Finished the year with a .404 slugging percentage and a .387 on-base percentage.. Stole five bases in six attempts... Named to the All-Liberty League Second Team.

2018: Earned All-Liberty League First Team honors as a designated player... Earned Most Outstanding Player for both the NCAA Regional and Super Regional... Made 43 appearances with 40 starts... Recorded 35 hits, 13 doubles, three homeruns, 27 RBI and 23 runs in 116 at-bats... Finished the year with a .302 batting average, .509 slugging percentage and a .386 on-base percentage... All-Liberty League Spring Academic Team.

2017: Shields made her collegiate debut on March 12th at Whittier going one for three with a stolen base... As an outfielder made 41 appearances with 31 starts...She went 28 for 97 with a triple, a homerun, 23 RBI and 14 runs scored... as a pitcher appeared in four games and making three starts, while throwing 9.0 innings...

High School: Attended Shenendehowa High School where she played six seasons on the varsity squad under head coach Christopher Farquharson…Helped lead her squad to a Section 2 Sectional Championship in 2015 and to a second place finish in the 2016 Sectional Championship…Earned Suburban Council Second Team honors and Saratoga County Second Team honors after her junior seasons…Took home Fourth Team All-State accolades after her junior campaign.
 
Personal: Abby, the daughter of Gary and Lori Shields, is a health and physical education major.
