High School: Matthews graduated from Honeoye Falls-Lima High School where he earned four varsity letters under coach Bernie Gardner. Over the course of his career, he earned a first team All-County selection and a second team All-County selection. Matthews helped his team become Sectional Champions. He also two varsity letters in soccer and three varsity letters in cross country skiing.
Personal: Lee, son of Andy and Carol Matthews, is an athletic training major.
