2016: Participated in five races this season, including the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships where he finished 34th with a time of 25:14.60…Earned First Team All-Conference after placing 5th at Empire 8 Championships with a time of 26:20.40…Raced a season-best time in the 5K on Sept. 10 at the Hamilton Short Course, finishing with a time of 16:49.30…Member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
2015: Capellaro earned Empire 8 Conference second-team honors
2014: Capellaro was named All Empire 8 Second-Team and All-NYSCTC Third-Team
2013:Â Capellaro competed in six races as a freshman. He clocked a season-best 8,000-meter time of 27:32.10 at the Oswego Invitational.
High School:Â A 2013 graduate of Webutuck High School, Capellaro was a letter winner on the cross country and track & field teams. A three time state cross country qualifier, he twice earned MHAC top 21 honors. Capellaro was named a MHAL scholar athlete in 2013 and earned team MVP nods in 2011. During T&F competition, he met the state qualifying time in the two-mile run in 2012 and 2013.
Personal:Â A political science major, he is the son of David and Kim Capellaro. His mother is a 1977 Ithaca College graduate.
