Biography
2015-16: Helly received an honorable mention All-American in the NCAA Championships in 2016. Helly also earned two All-State honors in diving at the UNYSCSA Championships.
2014-15: Helly participated in 1-meter diving and 3-meter diving. She finished fourth on the 1-meter board and 3-meter board at Union on Jan. 31, with scores of 249.14 and 284.85, respectively. Helly was also named a CSCAA Scholar All-American.
High School: Helly is a graduate of Northampton High School where she competed in diving for five years under coaches Louie Bierwert and Jack Ferriter. She was named a McDonald Scholar Athlete and served as team captain in 2014. She was also named to the Springfield Republican First Team and the Daily Hampshire Gazette First Team in her senior season. Was the 2014 Western Massachusetts Sectional Diving Champion.
Personal: Katie is an athletic training major and is the daughter of Martin and Margie Helly.
