2017: Named Liberty League All Academic Team.
2016: Raced in five meets this season…Recorded a season-best time in the 8k on Oct. 8 at the Hamilton College XC Invitational, finishing with a time of 27:01.30.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Smithtown East High School, Melcer was coached by Kathie Barbet. Melcer earned three varsity letters and all-county and academic all-county honors. He also earned varsity letters as a member of the winter and spring track & fields teams.
Personal: A physical therapy student, he is the son of Michael and Ester Melcer.
