Biography
2017-18: Shaffer finished her junior season with five wins in singles play. She also went 4-14 in doubles.
2016-17: Shaffer’s sophomore campaign consisted of an 11-2 record at singles, with 10 of those wins coming against Empire 8 opponents. On the doubles side of things, Shaffer also tallied 11 wins in doubles, while playing predominantly at the third doubles position. Shaffer received Second Team All-Empire 8 singles honors.
2015-16: Shaffer compiled an 8-5 singles record and 4-7 overall mark in doubles matches during her freshman season. She went a perfect 6-0 in Empire 8 singles matches, split between fifth- and sixth-flight action. She also added a perfect 3-0 mark in Empire 8 doubles action. Shaffer was named an ITA Scholar Athlete at the conclusion of the season. |
2015-16 Stats
High School: Shaffer graduated from Reading Memorial High School where she earned four varsity letters. She served as captain of the team during her senior season. Shaffer was selected as a Middlesex League All-Star in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. She also earned four varsity letters in soccer and two in gymnastics.
Personal: Kathryn, daughter of Martin and Lori Shaffer, is a communication management and design major.
