Ithaca College Athletics

2016: A First-Team All-Region selection by the NFCA, Gavin led the Bombers and ranked second among all Empire 8 players with a .400 batting average.  She played in 45 games overall including 44 starts and led the team with 346 putouts.  She ranked second on the team with 48 hits and tallied a team-leading 13 doubles.  Gavin produced 32 RBI and scored 31 runs which was second-most of any Ithaca player.  Gavin, who was named Honorable Mention All-Conference, had three homeruns and stole seven bases in nine attempts.  She was named to the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team and was named the Ithaca Regional’s Most Outstanding Player after delivering the Bombers a Regional Championship with a walk-off single in the ninth inning against Moravian.  She concludes her career with a .378 batting average which ranks third all-time in program history.  Gavin notched 11 multi-hit games as a senior and had a 14-game hitting streak.

2015: Gavin, an NFCA All-Region First Team selection, started all 35 games for the Bombers in her junior season. She ranked second on the team with a .393 batting average, while her 42 total hits also ranked second on the roster. Gavin's batting average and hit total ranked 10th and eighth in the conference, respectively. She recorded 15 extra-base hits on the season, including a team-high 12 doubles, a team-high two triples and one home run. Gavin paced the Bombers with 30 RBI, a total that ranked eighth in the Empire 8. She ranked second on the team in on-base percentage (.464) and slugging percentage (.570). Gavin had a perfect fielding percentage, and was 1-for-1 in stolen-base attempts. 2014: Gavin was named to the All-Empire 8 First Team and earned a spot on the NFCA All-Region Third Team for the first time in her career. She was named to the ECAC Division III Upstate Softball All-Star Second Team. She hit .371 over 38 starts at first base, which ranked second on the team. She also ranked second in slugging percentage (.505) and on-base percentage (.442), while her 39 hits ranked tied for second on the Bombers. Gavin recorded 11 doubles (tied for most on the team), one home run, 14 RBI and 17 runs scored on the year. She was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. | 2014 Game-by-game statistics

2013: Gavin appeared in 38 games and made 35 starts for the Bombers in her freshman campaign. Gavin ranked sixth on the roster with a .325 batting average, collecting 31 hits in 96 at-bats. She recorded two doubles, seven RBI and scored 17 runs on the year. High School: A 2012 graduate of Sheehan High School, Gavin was coached by Jocelyn Chang. She earned four varsity letters, received all-conference honors, and was selected to the Umpires Select Senior Game. Gavin also earned all-state honors in volleyball.

Personal: A sport management major, she is the daughter of Robert and Christine Gavin.
