Biography

2014: Busa made 40 starts for the Bombers, making her one of only two players to start every contest. She was an All-Empire 8 Second Team selection, marking her third-straight all-conference nod. Busa helped the Bombers win the 2014 Empire 8 Championship, which earned her a spot on the Empire 8 All-Tournament Team. She was also named to the NCAA Ithaca Regional All-Tournament Team. Busa ranked fifth on the roster with a .309 batting average after collecting a team-best 42 hits in 136 at-bats. Busa finished the year with seven doubles, one triple, 17 RBI and 23 runs scored. She was also 8-for-9 in stolen base attempts. | 2014 Game-by-game statistics

2013: Busa started in all 40 of the Bombers’ games, making her one of only two players on the roster to see action in every contest. She earned All-Northeast Region First Team recognition for the second-straight season after recording 51 hits and scoring 38 runs. Busa was also an All-Empire 8 First Team selection after leading the Empire 8 in runs in conference play with 16. She also ranked in the top-10 in hits (18) and batting average (.400) within the conference. Overall, Busa batted .349 and led Ithaca with 38 runs and was second with 51 hits. She was also part of a Bomber defense that turned 20 double plays, second most in program history. | 2013 Game-by-game statistics

2012: Busa appeared in 46 games as a freshman, starting all 46. She led the team in hits (55) and runs scored (43) in route to earning Empire 8 Co-Rookie of the Year honors. She was an All-Empire 8 Honorable Mention as well as a NFCA Northeast Region Third Team selection. She had three hits, including two doubles and two runs scored in an April 3, game against Cortland. Busa finished the season hitting safely in her final five games, going a combined 10 for 17. | 2012 Game-by-game statistics 

High School: A 2011 graduate of Smithtown High School, Busa earned four varsity letters for coach Glen Roper. She earned league player of the year, MVP and rookie of the year honors and was a White Letter award winner. Busa also lettered four times in basketball and three times in volleyball.

Personal: A physical therapy major, she is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Busa.
