2016: Participated in six races this season, including the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Cross Country Championships where he finished 32nd with a time of 25:11.60…Earned First Team All-Conference after placing 4th at Empire 8 Championships with a time of 26:19.30…Raced a season-best time in the 5K on Sept. 10 at the Hamilton Short Course, finishing with a time of 17:28.70…Member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
2015: Chappell earned Empire 8 First-Team distinction for his second place finish at the conference championship
2014: Chappell was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year. He was also an Empire 8 First-Team and All-NYSCTC Third Team selection.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Union Springs High School, Chappell was coached by Jim Herrman. He was named first team all-league and received varsity letters. He also earned varisty letters as a member of the indoor and outdoor track & field teams.
Personal: A writing major, he is the son of Peter and Mary Lou Chappell.
